ComicsOne, the English publisher of BOD, was recently put out of business, so unfortunately there are only 7 translated volumes out of 17. You may be able to purchase copies secondhand on Ebay

Updates: IMPORTANT

As of Nov 23rd 2008: For reasons unbeknownst to me, all of the member list was suddenly reset and all the members deleted. I have recovered only half the application forms (the 11 or so before conversion to the script were lost). It may be that I start to use a new script on the fanlistings because with the join form on Bellabuffs I am getting bare LF warnings. If you see a warning when you join don't worry, the application went through. It simply means you may not get email notification. And remember that it is still totally alright to apply directly through email if you feel uncomfortable with the form script. Thanks for your patience, and so sorry for all the trouble.

BIG NEWS! My friend found out that Deimos's authors are planning on finishing the series (the Japanese manga was never completed). For now I regard this as a hopeful rumor, but maybe I'll get some hard proof. If true, this is BIG good news for we fans! It's TRUE: Bride of Deimos is back and strong! Hopefully Shojobeat or another American manga magazine or translator will pick it up. The new artwork looks gorgeous..I'm very excited!

Story-Two siblings were happy on Mt.Olympus--until they fell in love. Deimos' sister Venus is imprisoned in the Swamp of Death. To save her life, he must find her human reincarnation so that they may continue their love. The catch--Deimos has been sentenced to live as the Devil. And Ifu Minako doesn't want to be associated with, let alone the bride of!--Deimos. But as she grows to know him better, Deimos' heart begins to soften. Does he love Venus--or Minako? And does Minako really love him back? And if so, will Venus take revenge?

Art Style: The artwork is breath-taking, and since it's from the same era as Rose of Versailles, the art is very similar to it. The flawless character design made my jaw drop.

The title of the OAV movie, distributed by MadHouse, is "Bride of Deimos: The Orchid Smile." It's based off the "Orchid Suite" chapter of Bride of Deimos. Basically, the movie focuses on Minako, a girl who loves flowers. When Deimos finds her, he is entanced by her beauty and sets out to make her his bride---people die, Minako cries, her life as she knows it is changed forever. Unfortunately, MadHouse has cancelled this product's distribution, and I can't find it ANYWHERE. This fanlisting goes for it too! ^^
